We have had a few wonderfully balmy winter days recently, not today, I know, but ultimately this was my inspiration for making a refreshing Belvedere Vodka Citrus Spritz. I am not sure about you, but I love cocktails, especially citrus-based ones.
Belvedere Vodka Citrus Spritz
I have changed the original recipe slightly to suit my taste, as well as the ingredients I had on hand but the star of the show is definitely the Belvedere Vodka.
Belvedere Vodka is the original and true expression of luxury vodka, created from 600 years of Polish vodka-making tradition. The vodka itself is always authentic, and never artificial. ~ Belvedere
I have also followed the Belvedere “Relearn Natural” approach and only used products containing natural ingredients. This is also inspired by the maceration process Belvedere flavoured vodkas go through.
Ingredients:
30 ml Belvedere Vodka
30 ml Caperitif {you can also use Martini Extra Dry}
2 lemon slices
2 Blood Orange Slices
2 lime slices
Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water
Crushed ice
Mint leaves
The Citrus Spritz is so simple to make; no cocktail shaker is necessary. Place crushed ice and mint leaves into a glass of your choosing. I used a large wine glass. Next, add slices of lemon, lime, orange slices and a generous squeeze of lime juice, to the glass. Add a shot of Vodka and a shot of Caperitif. Finally, top it with the Fever-Tree tonic water. You can also use equal parts sparkling water and tonic water if you prefer. Stir gently with a cocktail stirrer, and enjoy!
This zesty cocktail is perfect as a dinner party welcome drink or something to sip on around the pool. It is super refreshing and low in sugar, which is excellent if you are trying to cut back.
