I am proud to be woman because it means that we are able to conceive, carry, and give birth to — or adopt and mother as your own — another human life. It’s pretty awe-inspiring and incredible to think about what we, as women, are capable of!
I think being a woman today is a very challenging role. Not only do you have an obligation as a wife, mother, staff member and friend, you also need to show the hard world the softer side. It’s sad that so many women are marginalised and abused, but we can change this if we stand together and fight together to rid society (and the world) of discrimination and the horrific criminal acts against women and children.
