Sassy Chic is an online Fashion and Lingerie retailer, offering local fashion lovers affordable but beautiful and trendy clothing, lingerie and accessories. The new spring/summer 2013 season will see them welcome new designer collections to their virtual store.

With the current designers available on their website already demonstrating emphasis on the local fashion and design industry, SassyChic welcomes two equally talented South African designers to their showcase: Silk Orchid and Spilt Milk.

Silk Orchid, by designer Anneen Henze, launched in June last year. Silk Orchid collections offer styling that is classically feminine and chic, while still maintaining an element of comfort. Women can expect functional designs with high-fashion elements that flatter and enhance their form. Anneen’s spring/summer 2013 collection features all of this season’s latest trends including Gatsby themes, pretty pastels and of course, the peplum shape.

Spilt Milk, by Alma van den Berg, is a proudly South African brand from Cape Town. Founded in 2004, this easy to wear, elegant and beautifully styled label offers unique interpretations of international trends. Spilt Milk has been showcased at various prestigious events over the past few years and was also featured on Top Billing for the Momentum Lifestyles Awards. The latest spring/summer 2013 collection, in Alma’s words, is “an outcome of my recent journey to India and an admiration of vintage silhouettes… draped saris and the naturally draped lines of wet clothing as a result of a cleansing ritual in the river influenced the use of delicate materials, which have a beautiful drape, soft touch and see-through quality such as chiffon, organza and georgettes.”
