On Tuesday morning I was treated to a wonderful spa experience at the Equinox Spa Cape Royale, in Green Point Cape Town. The timing could not have been more perfect as the girls went back to school on Tuesday as well, so it was indeed a bit of much-needed, rather self indulgent “me-time”.
The Cape Royale is situated in Green Point overlooking the grandiose Green Point Stadium and is perfectly positioned just outside the Cape Town CBD and the V&A Waterfront making it perfect for businesses and leisure travellers.
Upon arrival at the hotel I was greeted by a door man adorned in a top hat and tails and escorted through the elegant reception area, to the elevators which take you up to the Equinox Spa. The decor in the spa is magnificent, luxurious with a hint of drama. A monochromatic colour scheme is punctuated with bursts of colour. Black and white damask wallpaper adorns the walls and a beautiful ornate chandelier in the reception area gives the spa an almost ethereal feeling.
I was greeted by the friendly staff who showed me to the changing area, fully equipped with lockers and showers for guests to use. I was asked to change into a crisp white robe and shown to a waiting area, here I was offered cucumber flavoured water and a selection of healthy nibbles. My therapist Zama then took me to the treatment room which was warm and inviting. I was then treated to an hour-long hot candle massage, which is not a treatment that I have had before so I was very intrigued to experience it for the first time.
The oil that collects at the top of the burning candle, is used for the massage, it felt sublime on my skin. The hot oil is said to relieve muscle pain and stimulate blood circulation in the body. Needless to say the treatment was amazing, from the beautifully scented candle, raspberry and lavender I believe, to the gloriously warm and soothing oil the candle produces – I was in heaven! The massage itself was wonderful, with just the necessary amount of pressure, I tend to carry my stress in my neck and shoulders so there were lots of knots to work out.
Equinox is a realm of indulgence, offering individualized professional therapies with a touch of couture elegance
I would definitely recommend a visit to the Equinox Spa and I will definitely be back there in the future to experience more of their world-class treatments. To find out more about the spa and other treatments they offer, visit their website here.

Would love to win this, as I currently teach 600 kids on a weekly basis DRAMA.
And at the moment am working// directing 4 mini plays for the kids. So all the stress, running around like a crazy person takes its toll on skin- the facial would be a big blessing <3 Cas

For me, a Nimue Facial would really come in handy right now. I just need a good session of me-time. Being a teacher is really stressful and one does not always find the time to just unwind. This would be the perfect excuse for me to just have some down-time:)

Have like the both facebook pages. My reason for wanting to win: Some me time is much needed – My husband has (and still is away) for ten weeks. I have missed him tremendously and realised how much he helps me with the kids and around the house. Being a “single mom” (and not being used to it – I dont know how single moms do it!) with two very active children,(and no family around) for these past few weeks, has left me looking rather bedraggled, tired, and very much in need for some me time! Apart from that, hubby is due back soon and when I pick him up at the airport, I would love to be looking relaxed, and radiant and glowing and WOW him totally for his homecoming!

what a treat this would be!! I have liked both pages and tweeted on both of my accounts 🙂
I am a single mom of a 2yr old red head (hehehe), and I run two businesses (single-handed) and work insane hours (up at 6am and get to bed at around 2am). I really am Super Mom! 🙂
I have not had a massage or me-time since my pregnancy days and I am SO desperate for a bit of a spoil…it would make me so happy if I could win this! <3

I would love to be pampered at Equinox Spa as I’m 31 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby! I desperately need some “me-time”! I have liked both FB pages as requested for the competition! I really do hope that I’m going to be the lucky winner!

Hi, I would like to win the prize so I could treat my mum when she visits from the UK. I’ve lived here for nearly 6 years and had a baby at home last December (my 3rd girl!!). My mum was here for her birth and I don’t know how I would have made it through the first 3 weeks without her. She is a ‘struggling artist’ in the UK and has had to tighten her belt to be able to afford the trip here but she wanted to come for my other girls birthdays. I would really like to thank her for everything she has done for me by giving her a pamper.

I have completed the above <3
I may not deserve to win this, as there are people worse off than myself, but I really would like to win it as I don't have time to relax and never get to pamper myself. The main reason also been, is that it reminds me of my late Mom. We could never afford ANY special treatment, and She ALWAYS wanted to do things like this. Relaxing with this treatment will, for me, feel like I am a little closer to Her as I will be thinking of Her………..

Both pages liked! The past 4 months have been incredibly stressful with my husband being unemployed, then temporarily employed and now unemployed again. Add 3 active boys into the mix and I am looking WAY older than my years! Desperately need some calmness and peacefulness in my life at the moment.

Since we had kids, I never had a “me-time” and we’re talking about more than 5 years. It really applies on my side that “going to the supermarket by myself is a vacation.” But not even that happens, I go everywhere with my baby, and my preschooler. I don’t have time or the strength to take care of my skin. Now my face is so dry and flaky, I just get too tired at night that I don’t do any treatments anymore. This will help me have a “me-time” and at the same time indulge my neglected skin…. That is, if I win.

With my wedding coming up in just over 2 months and being on a super tight budget i cannot afford the luxury of facials and all…So this would be absolutely amazing – also i have never had a facial before!!!
