I recently wrote a blog post on New Years Resolutions and why they are so hard to keep, the responses were very positive. One of my readers recommended that I watch a Ted talk by Matt Cutts, its only three minutes long and well worth watching- I found it very inspirational. Watching this video inspired me to start My 30 Day Challenge.
My 30 Day Challenge
In essence, the TED talk, by Matt Cutts encourages you to challenge yourself and make small sustainable changes, in your life. By doing this you are more likely to make the habit stick. Setting yourself small attainable challenges will in turn help make you more focused and make better use of the time you have each day. He also felt that as he set more difficult challenges his self-confidence grew.
After I watched the video clip it really got me thinking and has motivated me to set myself a challenge each month and to share the challenge with you! It would be great if you also take the challenge and share your experiences with me and my readers, or set yourself a challenge and let me know how you do!
30 Day Photography Challenge
So my challenge for February is to take one photograph a day and share it with you. I love photography but I struggle to find the time to take pictures during the week, so I am hoping by taking this challenge I will be able to use my time more wisely and spend more time doing what I love!

Wow! Brilliant video – got me thinking. I am going to take you up on that challenge and start drawing again! I loved Art at school but over the years have not touched a paintbrush, pastel etc and as it is our 20th reunion this year (nice reminder of how long ago it was) I will do one drawing every day for 30 days! Eeek – best I stock up on chalk, pencils and a drawing pad!
