The Alphen Boutique Hotel in Constantia has been on my "staycation" bucket list for quite a while. I think the main draw for me is the old world, glamorous style of the hotel. Many five star hotels are extremely modern, and while I like modern, I have been hankering for something a bit different.

Hidden Gem ~ Montpellier Wine Estate Tulbagh
There are so many wine regions in the Cape, which I still need to explore. One, in particular, is Tulbagh. It is a wine route that is fast gaining popularity, and I think warrants more of my attention. Fun-filled Kalk Bay Staycation with Afristay
We have always enjoyed spending time in the quaint seaside village of Kalk Bay. Often we will pop through for lunch and a glass of wine or coffee. On other occasions, it will be for an ice cream and a meander through the quaint streets. Even though we have spent lots of time exploring the area, we have never stayed over. Our Kalk Bay "Staycation" with Afristay presented the perfect opportunity to do just that, and explore as a tourist.
