The tough reality about life is that no matter how we try to fight it, there will always be things that are out of our control, things that we struggle with and situations that will be painful – making us stretch and grow emotionally! My main struggle at this moment of my life is striking a balance, whether it is in my day-to-day role as a mom and a wife, the time I spend on my blog or finding the time to run and exercise.
I have slowly come to the realisation that if I do not have balance it affects my ability to do any of these things to the best of my ability. If I spend too much time and put too much effort into one area then other areas in my life tend to suffer. I have always been a rather disciplined person but this too has its flaws, if you are too disciplined it leaves little time in your life for fun, once again leaving you unbalanced.
So, where to from here? Well I am speaking for myself now but I have decided to adopt a slightly different attitude to my life, to try to not be so serious about everything I do. Live one day at a time, to try hard not to worry about tomorrow and not to compare myself with others {ahh very hard for me! 😉 } but this is the only way I can see how to restore the much-needed balance to my life.
I love the quote above it makes you realise you need to hang on to the important things in your life and let go of all the stuff you cannot control and only then will you find balance!
